A marquee is a continuously scrolling ribbon of reviews. It earns attention through motion without asking for a click, which makes it useful in the awkward band just under a hero where a static block would be scrolled straight past.
When to use something else
Avoid it as your only proof. Motion is glanceable, not readable โ visitors take away an impression rather than an argument. Pair it with a fuller layout further down.
Practical tip
Slow it down more than feels natural. A marquee fast enough to feel lively is usually too fast to read a single review from start to finish.
